Home Care - When a child is looked after by a family member
DayCare
A facility that is run by trained staff to look after children,
usually from ages 18 month to 5 year old. Some facilities may take
children as young as 3 month. There are approximately 35 private nurseries
in Bermuda.
Nanny
When a trained caregiver is hired by a family to look after their
children, usually in their own home.
Public Childcare: Government Funded Childcare - In Bermuda there is one
childcare facility that is government funded. This facility is free of
charge.
